Committees established under the Local Government Act

Disciplinary Committee deals with complaints re breaches of the code of conduct by elected members of local government.

Local Government Accounting Advisory Committee (LGAAC) provides advice to the Minister for Local Government and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Regional Services (DHLGRS) on financial management and accounting practices.

Administration and Legislation Advisory Committee (ALAC) provides advice to the Minister and Department on legislative, administrative and operational issues.
